KPMG’s Advisory Services Practice focuses on fundamental business issues — managing risk, increasing revenues, controlling costs — that organizations, across various industries, should address in order to help them flourish. We help companies to identify and manage risks inherent in business processes and technology systems that support business objectives, and provide them with the information needed to help them meet their strategic and financial goals. Services are specialized to help clients mitigate risks across an overall risk spectrum. We are currently seeking a Manager or Director in Transactions-Accounting Advisory Services (AAS) for our Transactions & Restructuring practice to join us in our Chicago office.

- Manages large workstreams of complex engagements and develops macro hypotheses and builds a study-plan across multiple workstreams
- Guides teams in developing complex financial models
- Takes ownership for the delivery of aspects of practice development
- Effectively leads teams, manages time, resources and outputs and reviews others' work and coaches others to improve performance
- Is proactive in identifying and supporting conversion of sell-on opportunities and in supporting other sales pursuits
- Manages client relationships

Additional Responsibilities for Director:
* Lead the creation and implementation of commercial strategy services for clients focusing on the technology industry
* Direct business development initiatives focused in the technology industry
* Lead cross-functional teams in developing and implementing client services and lead client interviews, workshops, and industry research through secondary and primary resources
* Manage the development and presentation of final client deliverables
* Oversee the quality of client engagements and the development of staff
Qualifications:
* Two years post MBA experience in a client-facing Commercial Strategy discipline
* Two years of experience working with or for clients in the technology industry preferred
* MBA degree from a top-tier accredited college/university
* Experience in at least one of the following strategy consulting areas: due diligence and commercial diligence, fundamental business strategy development, transactional leadership, strategic planning, market growth assessment, target identification, portfolio and business performance analysis, or other relevant strategy experience
* Ability to travel up to fifty percent of the time
Additional Qualifications for Director:
* Twelve years of experience in developing and implementing organic and inorganic growth services within a consulting advisory firm or corporate strategy, development, or management function
* Six years of experience working with or for clients in the technology industry is preferred
* Experience managing multiple complex initiatives and analyzing the future outlooks of products, markets, and companies
