Senior Associate International Executive Services

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Senior Associate to join us in our Houston office.

KPMG's International Executive Services (IES) practice strives to help companies as they work to manage their international assignment programs. When our clients send their employees on international assignment, KPMG professionals provide proactive planning ideas and advise clients on international human resources and tax best practices. IES provides compliance, advisory, and administration services to help support our clients' businesses and assignees.

Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze tax and accounting information
• Prepare written correspondence on a wide range of individual tax issues impacting a company’s expatriate employees
• Conduct tax research relating to expatriate employees
• Participate in arrival and departure tax meetings for expatriates and inpatriates (foreign nationals)
• Prepare miscellaneous tax, payroll, and international assignment cost projection calculations
• Participate in the and completion of tax returns, equalization calculations, and other tax settlements for expatriate employees
• Prepare draft correspondence with IRS or state taxing authorities in relation to tax notices and/or audits for expatriates
• Conduct meetings with expatriate taxpayers in relation to gathering the required data to complete their tax returns
• Review U.S. payroll reporting withholding for wages paid to expatriate employees for accuracy including annual compensation statements
• Assist in conducting firm training sessions

Qualifications:

• Two years of experience in expatriate or individual tax
• Bachelor’s degree, J.D., LL.M.in Taxation, and/or Master's in Taxation (MST) from an accredited college/university
• Prior experience at an accounting firm
• Ability to analyze basic tax and accounting information
