Senior Tax Manager Exempt Organizations

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Senior Manager for our Exempt Tax Organization Practice to join us in our Los Angeles office.

Responsibilities for position:

• Supervise and serve as lead return reviewer for the ExoTax compliance practice
• Develop and sustain excellent client relationships
• Assist in providing advisory services and developing new business including add-on business
• Keep up-to-date on current tax practices and changes in tax law
• Provide industry knowledge and experience
• Mentor and train staff
• Attain visibility/recognition in the local not-for-profit community
• Oversee and deliver large client project engagements
• Tax Planning for Tax-Exempt Organizations – Helps clients address the tax risks and retain the benefits that accompany tax-exempt status.

Qualifications for position:

• Eight years of not-for-profit tax experience
• Excellent advisory and compliance skills
• Proficient in providing compliance and advisory services to colleges and universities, public charities, private foundations, healthcare organizations, social welfare organizations, business leagues, title holding companies, and other types of tax exempt organizations and their taxable and flow through affiliates
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills with the ability to articulate complex information
• Experience in managing multiple client engagements and client service teams
• BA/BS degree from an accredited college/university
• Licensed CPA
