Financial Management Director

Job Description:

We help companies to identify and manage risks inherent in business processes and technology systems that support business objectives, and provide them with the information needed to help them meet their strategic and financial goals. Services are specialized to help clients mitigate risks across an overall risk spectrum. We are currently seeking a Business Performance Services (BPS) Director to join us in our San Francisco office.

Financial Management professionals help clients align their finance organization with the strategies and needs of their businesses. They help clients improve financial and accounting processes, analysis, operations, controls and performance, budgeting and forecasting, financial closing, financial and management reporting and shared services. Our professionals bring leading practices and recommendations to clients to help streamline and create more efficient financial management processes.

Responsibilities:
• Deliver high quality client services focused on improving accounting and finance operations utilizing our proprietary methodologies for major corporations across the Financial Services Industry.
• Participate in business development activities that leverage the capabilities of the BPS team and result in new business acquisitions
• Identify new target clients, build long-term business relationships with key executives and network in professional organizations or affiliations
• Contribute to the development and evolution of our BPS methodologies and intellectual capital by publishing articles, whitepapers and performing research in support of BPS initiatives
• Provide leadership to the BPS team members and client staff that contributes to their continued growth and development of our Financial Services team.

Qualifications:
• Eight years of relevant work experience in a comparable Financial Services advisory firm with experience in capital markets along with providing business development opportunities, active participation in the delivery of high quality client services
• Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college/university
• Strong client services delivery orientation including the demonstrated ability to take an active role executing engagements to client service standards
• Ability to develop and maintain client relationship at multiple levels within a company
• Demonstrated track record of team leadership and project management
• Experience in designing and improving accounting processes such as: monthly close, management and financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, consolidations, business process and strategy
• Experience leading teams, mentoring staff, evaluating performance and providing performance feedback
• Experience with change and reengineering
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, including experience presenting to small groups and facilitating workshops
